The dATranslators - Translators' Community

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 21, 2009, 12:55 PM

What is it?

It's a community, where the people from all places of the world can meet, and help you, if you found any difficult text, comment, journal etc.

How does it work?

You bring your text wanted to translate. You look for the suitable translator in the Translators section, and you send him/her a note, with a link, which points to your text! When a translator has finished the work, you'll receive a note to the link of the translated text.

What's our purposes with this community?

We would like to gather as many translator as possible and we would like to be the Official deviantART Translators' Community, which is known and useful for everyone.

When should you use our service?

If you want to understand any written text, here in the dA. This includes the following things:

  1. Comments, Journals, Forum Replies

  2. News, Notices, Contests

  3. Artist Comments on the Deviations

  4. Any parts of the User Interface of the dA

  5. Any parts of the Etiquette, the Terms of the Service, the Privacy and the Copyright Policy

  6. Helps, FAQs

What's the difference between the Members and the Translators?

We don't want the club to be opened just for the translators, so if you just want to get often updated linguistic help, then can you join too!

What can the members do?

A lot of things. Here are some examples:

  1. Make graphical and written vocabularies.

  2. Writing spelling rules.

  3. Create help for pronunciation.

  4. Write the most popular slang words in their language

Examples

Spelling Check

`CygX1 gave us a bright idea! So there will be from now Spell Checkers. You'll find at every language one person, who's able to check a text and correct the mistakes. If you are a native speaker of a language then send us a Note, titled "Join as Spell Checker" and please specify that language, you wish to check.

This service is now available! You can check your texts in the following languages:
Hungarian, French, Polish, German, Italian, English, Arabic, Indonesian, Spanish, Chinese, Filippino, Swedish, Estonian, Portuguese, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Turkish

If you have any questions, suggestions, critiques, ideas etc., feel free to tell us! Choose either `homedoggieo or ^DCZed or =EternalFallacy or =SneakyTomato or *BajuszGG!

We are continuously looking for any kind of translators, so if you want to use your knowledge, what are you waiting for?

There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don't.
I believe in Jesus Christ my Savior. If you do too and aren't scared to admit it then copy and paste this in your signature.
